ATE New Original – for the performance and sustainability requirements of future mobility
Focus on technological change and sustainability
Combining optimal performance with the greatest possible sustainability - that is the mission of the new ATE New Original product line. It supports workshops in positioning themselves as service partners for all aspects of brakes, electric drives and sustainability. ATE New Original complements the ATE Original line, in which Continental has previously offered its entire European portfolio of brake components. "We will bundle all products for next-generation brake systems under the ATE New Original product line," says Enno Straten, Head of the Automotive Aftermarket business segment at Continental. "In doing so, we not only underline the premium standard that we have earned as a brake specialist with well over 100 years of experience. At the same time, we are reinforcing our pioneering spirit that has always distinguished the ATE brand and showing that we are well prepared for the future issues in the workshop."
ATE New Original begins with friction pairings for disc brakes that are tailored to the higher demands of electromobility. The brake disc and pad are precisely matched to each other so that they offer the optimal combination of service life, braking performance, comfort and sustainability.
In spring 2025, ATE will launch friction brake pairings for the VW ID.3 and ID.4, the TESLA Model S, the Cupra Born and the Polestar 2. The portfolio will be expanded further over the course of the year. This means that retailers and workshops will have a product range at their disposal that is perfectly tailored to the growing fleet of electric vehicles and will also support compliance with regulatory requirements such as the upcoming Euro 7 regulation in the future. This includes a reduction in fine dust emissions from braking systems.
